Commissioners pressed staff about what would happen if the grant ended; one commissioner said, “With the grant, if that grant goes away, then the taxpayers pick up this thing.” County staff agreed to get clarification from the DA on whether the positions would be solely tied to the grant and would be eliminated if the grant ended.
