County administrator outlines ARPA obligation status, commission approves re‑obligations and task order

County Administrator Philip Smith Haines briefed the Saline County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 17 about the county’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund allocation and requested approval of re-obligations and a task order.
Haines said Saline County was awarded $10,532,367 under the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and that “over 92 and a half percent of the funds have gone out the door to projects in this community.” He told commissioners a small balance remained unobligated or unspent and described a request to re‑obligate $14,977.40, most of which — $14,240.70…
