County affirms up-to-$10,000 cost-share for drainage work near Rex Air for housing development

Gilbert said the city had confirmed the plot survey would be acceptable, removing the need for one of two intended surveys; a separate drainage/ditch survey remains necessary. Commissioners clarified that the county's previously authorized contribution is half of the cost, up to the $10,000 cap, and will not exceed that amount unless the board revisits the decision.
The board and staff discussed utility relocation questions such as whether utilities would be moved underground and said those details would be worked out with the city as the project moves forward. Commissioners asked staff to keep them apprised of additional costs and to return for further direction if the county's share would exceed the $10,000 limit.
