William Conroy appointed to Coffey County Hospital Board for three-year term

The Coffey County Board of Commissioners appointed William Conroy to serve a three-year term on the Hospital Board, beginning Dec. 31, 2024 and running through Dec. 31, 2027. The appointment followed a public discussion of two candidates who had presented to the board earlier in the meeting.
Commissioners said both candidates were qualified. Several commissioners noted they had known Marlene Cook for many years and praised her qualifications, but said Conroy brought additional experience that led them to select him. Commissioner Peterson moved to appoint Conroy; Commissioner McCurry seconded. The board approved the appointment by raised-hand/voice vote.
The commissioners thanked both applicants for volunteering and encouraged Cook to apply for future openings.
