Bend ECC nearing CCAP update endorsement; members debate prioritization and implementation resources

Committee staff told the Climate and Environment Committee on Jan. 9 that Bend's Community Climate Action Plan update has reached a stage where the committee needs to adopt a proposed action list and consider implementation recommendations, including funding sources and a community partner grant program.

Staff overview and timeline

The staff presentation recapped steps to date: an initial review and refinement of existing CCAP actions, working-group development of new actions, greenhouse-gas modeling and a community survey conducted in October–November. Staff said the modeling and survey results are largely complete and that the committee's next step is to adopt the action list and decide whether to include implementation recommendations in the package to council.
