Committee members heard that FEI (facility enhancement initiative) projects at Central Falls schools are complete and turned over to the district, and that a final closeout invoice for the FEI work is pending for $57,255.50.
Eric (project representative) told the committee that punch-list items were completed over the winter break, the cafeteria sound system is permissioned and turned over to the district, and a first-floor bathroom remodel was repaired, replaced and reinstalled. He said there are no open items remaining for the FEI work.
The committee heard that the updated Calcutt Gym was used to host the mayor’s and city council members’ inauguration ceremonies, and that community members praised the transformed space. Committee members described the new sound system as improving middle-school cafeteria operations.
The FEI closeout line item includes final closeout costs for vendors and consultants (Martone, Steven Turner and others) and gym equipment; the project team identified a $57,255.50 invoice required for final closeout work.
