Bettendorf staff will present a resolution to authorize the public works director to purchase and install a new emergency power generator at City Hall, the city said Dec. 16.
Angie Sharp, community engagement manager for the city of Bettendorf, listed the purchase and installation as the third and fourth items on the committee of the whole agenda and referenced the agenda packet for further detail. The staff preview did not include a purchase price, installation schedule, or funding source; those details should appear in the formal agenda materials and staff presentation at the Dec. 17 council meeting.
The generator item was identified as part of a series of operational and facilities items the council will review before voting the following night. No vote or vendor was named in the committee preview; councilors will have an opportunity to question staff at the committee meeting and again at the regular meeting when action is scheduled.
