House votes to indefinitely postpone pending bills, appoints committee to fetch governor and adjourns sine die

The Wyoming House of Representatives approved a series of procedural motions late in the session that will end the General Session absent a jointly scheduled reconvening.
The majority floor leader moved that "bills currently pending before this body in the 60th Wyoming State Legislature 2025 General Session be indefinitely postponed." The motion was seconded and passed on the floor. Members then adopted a motion to inform the Senate that the House was ready to adjourn and appointed a two-member committee to inform the governor and bring him to the chamber.
The House later adopted a motion that sets the terms of adjournment: the House will adjourn until a date jointly determined by the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate for the purpose of calling both chambers back into session. If no such time is scheduled prior to Dec. 31, 2025, the House will be adjourned sine die effective at 12:00 noon on that date. The motion further specifies that the legislative budget session of the 60th Legislature will convene Feb. 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise scheduled.
Representative Heft and Representative Lean were named to the committee to inform the governor. House Chief Clerk Katie Talbot was directed to inform the Senate that the House was ready to adjourn. The motions were adopted by voice vote on the floor; the majority leader declared the motions carried.
