The board approved three separate agreements presented for county recreation and complex operations: a camp host stipend, a three-year sponsorship with a local credit union, and a continuing tractor rental contract.
Scott Crowther presented a proposed contract for the camp host at the county complex. The agreement would provide $3,500 annually (about $500 per month) to help offset the camp host's miscellaneous expenses. Crowther said the host has helped reduce vandalism and provided after-hours representation. Commissioners approved the agreement and asked for proof of the host's insurance before finalization.
Crowther also asked that the board renew a multi-year sponsorship with ICCU covering 2025'28. Commissioners approved the three-year partnership and authorized execution by electronic signature if needed.
Finally, the board approved a one-year tractor-rental agreement with a longtime supplier, Better's Tractor, which the complex uses to supplement county-owned equipment during events and maintenance. Crowther said local month-to-month rental quotes were higher than the negotiated contract rate and recommended continuing the current arrangement.
All three items were approved by the board in separate motions. Commission minutes show an "aye" vote for each motion.
