Staff said the county’s new two-loop service in Liberty and Monticello recorded 690 rides in its first full month.
Staff described a plan to apply to the New York State Department of Transportation’s Zero Emissions Transit (ZET) program for a feasibility study and subsequent planning work to transition the county’s transit system toward low- or no-emissions options. The minimum grant request noted is $500,000 and the grant requires a 10% county match; the application deadline referenced in the report is April 4. Heather will set up a call with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) for technical support, and staff said a resolution to apply will be brought to the executive committee.
The office said two new ISUP case management specialists will start on March 24, and one nutrition site operator position remains open. Staff also said the Office for the Aging and Adult Protective Services will resume monthly joint case reviews to handle more complex cases.
