The Kingsburg Downtown BID Advisory Board on March 4 approved the meeting agenda and minutes and voted to authorize a $500 travel stipend for a social-media content creator to promote the Swedish Festival.
At the meeting start, the board approved the agenda pursuant to the requirements of the California Government Code (the board referenced agenda-addition rules) and later approved the minutes from its Feb. 4 meeting. Those procedural items were adopted by voice vote.
Later in the meeting board members motioned to book a content creator identified in discussion as Jorge to promote the Swedish Festival; the motion included approving up to $500 for a travel stipend while a board member offered to provide lodging. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Board members said they will seek cost-sharing with the Swedish Festival committee and the Chamber but wanted to secure the promoter’s availability.
