City of Vacaville’s VacaCon wins CPRS award; four celebrity guests announced for April event

The City of Vacaville’s VacaCon program was announced as a recipient of a California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) Creating Community Award of Excellence, city staff told the Park and Recreation Commission on March 5.
The recognition, staff said, honors recreation programs that meet community needs, show innovation and demonstrate community collaboration. Director Gretchen Mulder told commissioners the award will be celebrated at the CPRS conference in Sacramento March 18–20, where the program will be shown in a video at the opening session and promoted in the exhibitor hall.
