The Amador County Unified School District Board of Trustees took several formal actions March 12, approving resolutions, budget certifications and technology projects in unanimous or roll‑call votes.
Release of temporary certificated employees: After closed session the board reported it approved Item 4B, Resolution No. 2425‑16, authorizing release of temporary certificated employees. The report out stated the resolution passed 5–0 in closed session.
Consent agenda and personnel items: The board approved the consent agenda by roll call; multiple consent items were withdrawn or retitled earlier in the meeting (consent item 3A was pulled and 3B was corrected to "Indian Education"), and the consent agenda passed on the roll call recorded during the meeting.
E‑Rate projects: The board approved three E‑Rate projects for the 2025–26 fiscal year. Robert Norton, presenting, said projects include replacement of roughly 70 aging network switches (project cost shown as $184,000 pre‑discount, about $55,000 after estimated E‑Rate discount), a firewall software and support renewal (listed at $14,009.50 pre‑discount, discounted to $10,009.73) and data circuit connectivity to support district office links to Pine Grove and Pioneer (presented as roughly $15,000 per year before discount and about $2,300 after discount). Trustees approved the E‑Rate quotes by roll call.
Second interim budget revisions and certifications (district): The board approved second interim budget revisions and certified the district's second interim as "qualified." Staff said revenue adjustments included LCFF prior‑year ADA corrections and finalized federal and state grant awards; on the expenditure side, expected savings from vacancies partly offset increased services and capital needs. The district certification of "qualified" was approved by roll call.
Second interim budget revisions and certification (county office of education): The county office presented revisions and a multi‑year projection showing the county office meeting the 4% reserve requirement for the current fiscal year but projecting lower reserves in out years. Trustees certified the county office second interim as "qualified" by roll call.
Notice of intent to employ under provisional internship permit: Trustees approved a notice of intent to employ a teacher under a provisional internship permit (PIP) for a hard‑to‑fill moderate‑severe classroom position at Plymouth Elementary School; staff said the candidate is completing pre‑intern requirements and this permit request helps the district staff a classroom in a hard-to-fill area.
Other votes: The board moved and approved a procedural rearrangement of the agenda to hear the alternative pathway to diploma item earlier; the board also approved the routine warrant and purchase items and accepted a number of resignations and personnel recommendations included in consent.
Where votes were recorded in open session, roll calls show trustees voting unanimously or by recorded ayes. For closed‑session actions the board provided a public report: Resolution 2425‑16 passed 5–0 in closed session.
