Douglas County commissioners approve consent agenda and multiple reappointments

The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to approve its consent agenda and to reappoint several community members to county advisory bodies and a fire-district board.
Commissioner Reed moved to approve the consent agenda, consisting of items 1.1 through 1.4, and the motion carried 5-0. The commission then moved through several appointments to fill expiring terms and open seats.
The reappointment of Deborah McTaggart to the Palmyra Fire District No. 2 board was approved by voice vote. Commissioners also reappointed Monnie Lowe, Kelly McCauley, Amber Roden and Cherry Vaughn to the county’s TRC advisory board; the commissioners noted those four had served one-year terms and would now take three-year terms. The board accepted a motion to reappoint Nick Pumphrey to the Douglas County Heritage Council.
