The Toquerville City Council adopted Resolution 2025 (fiscal year 2025–26 strategic plan), formally approving a citywide strategic plan that lays out five goals and 20 prioritized objectives for the coming fiscal year.
Staff presented the strategic plan as the product of two work sessions held in February; the document defines a hierarchy from plan statement to goals, objectives and tasks, and lists project owners, deadlines and tasks for each selected objective. Staff said the plan is public facing, will be posted on the city website and that staff intend to build a dashboard for quarterly progress reporting.
Council members praised the document’s clarity and presentation, noting it will give citizens a visible articulation of city priorities. The plan is intended as a guiding, non‑prescriptive document; staff said they expect to accomplish a majority of listed objectives but acknowledged that unanticipated events could change priorities.
The council approved the resolution by roll call vote. Staff said copies will be printed, the plan posted online, and dashboard reporting will follow to show progress against objectives.
Ending: The city will publish the resolution and post the strategic plan on the city’s website; staff plan periodic reporting to council on progress.
