Public Works staff described the work involved as adjustments to paving and curb areas, including some instances where concrete will replace asphalt and some anticipated deduct change orders where credit will be returned for removed items. Assistant Public Works Director John Wilson said some paving areas were swapped from asphalt to concrete and that the city expects a subsequent deduct change order in other locations.
Council approved the change order and the associated budget transfer. Staff said in-house crews will handle striping work and that some striping was scheduled to start the following day.
