Daggett County commissioners approved a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Sweetwater Events Complex that will list Daggett County as a sponsor for the shared Sweetwater-Daggett County Fair and provide $9,000 annually to support the event.
Candy Pendleton, representing the Sweetwater Events Complex and Sweetwater County, explained the historical partnership and the allocation of funds: sponsorship support helps offset trophies, ribbons and judges for 4-H and FFA activities and provides ticket allocations for county employees. The agreement package covered 2025, 2026 and 2027; Pendleton said the county could choose a one-year renewal cadence if it preferred but historically had used three-year terms.
A commissioner from the tourism and economic development team asked for a complimentary booth space at the fair; Pendleton said she would reserve an indoor booth and provide a form so the county could submit contact details. The commission voted to approve the agreement and one commissioner noted the sponsorship amount: "It's a $9,000 sponsorship agreement for those those 3 years," a commissioner said during the motion and second.
Ending
Pendleton agreed to resend the contract document via email and to forward a booth registration form so the county's tourism director can complete logistics. The commission approved the sponsorship and asked staff to file the agreement.
