Senate confirms Jamie Stuckey to Board of Technical Education, 34-0 (one excused)

The South Dakota Senate advised and consented to the executive appointment of Jamie Stuckey of Lenox, South Dakota, to the South Dakota Board of Technical Education; the roll call showed 34 yeas and one excused.
Senator Jim Melhoff introduced Stuckey and described her as the senior director for clinical learning strategies for Sanford Health’s leadership education and development department. Melhoff told senators that Stuckey leads a team responsible for aligning clinical and nursing initiatives with Sanford Health’s organizational strategy and cited her contributions to education programs that ‘‘empower the care team to deliver high-quality care.’’ He noted Stuckey earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Marty University and a master’s degree from the University of South Dakota.
With no further floor remarks, the secretary called the roll; the president declared the appointment confirmed after the affirmative vote of a majority of members elect.
