LA City Sanitation and Environment is hosting an annual clothing drive through Friday, March 7, collecting new or gently used adult and children’s clothing to be distributed to local shelters and service providers.
The city’s facilities recycling program is accepting sweaters, jackets, shirts, pants and socks at six public drop-off locations Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations will be provided to the Saint Francis Center and the Los Angeles Mission.
The program materials said more information is available on the city sanitation website under the education tab. The transcript segment presenting the drive was a public-service announcement and not a council action.
