The Lakeville City Council approved several routine and land-use items during its Feb. 3 meeting, including a consent-agenda bundle that contained a resolution amending the Lakeville Fire Relief Association bylaws, a liquor license for a restaurant and a preliminary plat and conditional-use permit for the Antlers Ridge development.
Consent agenda: The council approved the consent agenda by voice vote. City staff highlighted item 6(h), a resolution amending the Lakeville Fire Relief Association bylaws to shorten the vesting schedule and adjust compensation for board members; the Fire Relief Association serves as the pension fund for paid-on-call volunteer firefighters.
Taqueria Los Compadres liquor license (on-sale and Sunday): The council held a public hearing, noted that background checks had been completed, and granted an on-sale and Sunday liquor license for Taqueria Los Compadres at 112762 Tenth Street West, Unit 102. The motion to grant the license passed on a roll-call vote with councilmembers Michelle Volk, Luke Hellyer, John Bermel, Dan Walter and Joshua Lee recorded as voting aye (5-0).
Antlers Ridge Second Edition (preliminary plat, shoreland conditional use permit, easement vacation): The council considered a preliminary plat amendment and a conditional-use permit related to shoreland impact for the Antlers Ridge Second Edition development north of Kinsville Trail and east of Kenrick Avenue. Dale Willenbring of Tamarac Land Development presented the application. Staff said the property is zoned RST-2 (single- and two-family residential) and that the comprehensive plan designates medium- and high-density residential uses for the site. The planning commission recommended approval on Jan. 23.
The council approved three related items by motion: (1) a resolution approving the preliminary plat for Antlers Ridge Second Edition, (2) a conditional-use permit approving the shoreland impact plan along with adoption of findings of fact, and (3) a resolution vacating drainage and utility easements. The motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded as aye by councilmembers John Bermel, Dan Walter, Joshua Lee, Michelle Volk and Luke Hellyer (5-0). Staff noted that the new lots in the amendment would not be built until roadway extensions and related property connections could be completed.
No further public hearings were continued; the council adjourned after announcing upcoming meetings and community events.
