Rob Miller, president and chief executive officer of the Miami‑Dade Beacon Council, said the council has brought thousands of jobs and billions in private investment to the county over four decades and intends to “work much more closely” with North Miami Beach to activate key sites, better market the city’s assets and support small businesses. “We want to be your partner in getting the jobs that you deserve in this community,” Miller said.
Commissioners praised the presentation and moved the resolution forward from the consent agenda so it could be considered immediately. After a second and brief discussion the body voted to approve the agreement (Resolution R2025‑64) without opposition.
