The committee recommended a PLC (Primary Learning Center) chiller replacement using McClure at an estimated $450,000, noting a 24‑week lead time. They also reported a CoStar‑approved furniture bid of about $27,000 to furnish two autism support rooms, estimated $25,000 for tables and furniture to relocate a computer lab, and recommended a John Deere skid‑loader purchase at approximately $63,000 from three quotes.
Other recommended items included high school office carpet replacement (~$16,005.73), a five‑year chiller maintenance agreement through McClure for $73,003.76 covering three chillers, and a pole vault mat (approx. $25,000) plus a cover ($3,771.75) and a shed for storage. The committee said it received a $250,000 grant toward HVAC work above the district office that is part of an energy savings amendment with McClure and noted planned geotechnical coring for the high school auditorium roof project.
The committee also recommended donating excess district furniture (an asset list with estimated value between $13,300 and $30,000) to West Foulfield Christian School, and proposed asbestos abatement and VCT replacement in Room 312A above district offices (estimated $2,485). Committee members said they plan to solicit further bids where required and to return recommended contracts to the board for approval as appropriate.
No final contract awards were made in the committee report; the committee provided cost estimates, bid status and next steps for board consideration at future meetings.
