Agricultural Advisory Committee bylaws updated to add youth member and clarify ex officio roles

Staff from the Community Planning and Economic Development Department (CPED) presented proposed bylaw updates for the Thurston County Agricultural Advisory Committee and asked the board to include the resolution on the business-meeting consent agenda for formalization.
CPED asked the board to formalize clarifications that the Thurston Conservation District’s ex officio representative is not required to be technical staff, to add the agricultural community program manager as an ex officio member of the committee, and to create a youth member position serving one-year terms. Staff said the committee approved the changes unanimously and recommended the board formalize them.
Commissioners had no substantive objections during the work session and staff said the packet and documentation would be on the upcoming consent agenda for adoption.
