Osborn Elementary District bond update: Montecito renovation moves into design; CMAR selected, GMP to follow

Montecito renovations: staff said schematic design is underway after programming work by SPS+ and Don Brubaker. The district completed a CMAR (construction manager at risk) evaluation and selected Chase Building Team. Kate Gunther of Chase told the board she is slated to be the project manager and said Chase has long experience with K–12 work in the Valley and with unoccupied-campus schedules. Colleen, the district’s owner’s representative, told the board that the CMAR contract has been signed but not countersigned by the district; once the district countersigns, the CMAR will be released to prepare a GMP (guaranteed maximum price) and staff said a pre-construction kickoff…
