The Planning Commission voted Jan. 14 to approve a special‑use permit for Charlottesville Community Church to locate at 26 Pebble Drive (a 6.8-acre lot off Route 20), allowing religious assembly use up to 500 seats subject to six conditions.
Staff planner Sid Sheff presented the application and described proposed site envelopes for buildings, parking and open space. Sheff said the site sits in the entrance-corridor overlay and slopes down toward Scottsville Road, and that the applicant proposes to relocate and reconstruct the existing Pebble Drive access to create a safer approach and provide a pedestrian connection into the property.
