The superintendent said the district will pay tribute to the history of Jackson High School as part of Black History Month and noted that a three‑part video series by Michael Kormos, featuring interviews with former Jackson graduates, will begin the next day. The report said February is CTE Month and referenced a strong agricultural program and National FFA Week in the coming week.
The superintendent listed upcoming spring athletics: softball opening at home tomorrow, track at Grapevine on Friday, spring tennis competitions in San Antonio Friday and Saturday, baseball opening at home next Monday and boys golf beginning next Wednesday. The report cited fourth‑grade UIL district titles, six individual gold medals at lower grades, and that CHS sophomores Hugo Hernandez and Jocelyn Dragu advanced to state debate after winning at the regional level.
The superintendent also noted the district’s new newsletter, Access Corsicana, produced by Raymond, Michael and Anna, which will provide monthly highlights and key events to keep families informed.
