Library board approves redistribution of Fulcraft Library's 2024 state aid after audit shortfall

Annie said Fulcraft reported a 2023 audit is underway and expressed confidence it will be completed, but the forfeited funds for 2024 must be redistributed under existing precedent.
Annie requested that the board authorize staff to evenly distribute $28,387 — the state aid amount originally allocated to Fulcraft Library — among the remaining eligible libraries. She also asked that the board evenly distribute county aid that would have amounted to $1,476 among the eligible libraries. A motion to approve the distribution was made and seconded; the board approved the redistribution by voice vote.
Board materials and the Administrator noted staff have received 23 audits so far and that a number remain outstanding; the board asked member libraries to follow up with directors to ensure audits and financial reviews are filed on schedule so state aid can be disbursed on time in future cycles.
