The Olathe City Council recorded the following formal actions at its March 4 meeting; all recorded roll-call votes were unanimous (6-0):
• Consent agenda: The council approved the consent agenda with one item (item K) pulled for separate consideration. Vote: 6-0.
• Resolution 25-1022 (Item K): The council approved resolution number 25-1022, authorizing the purchase of vehicles for the 2025 citywide fleet replacement. Vote: 6-0. (Roll-call yes votes: John Bacon; Miss Vogt; Mister Gilmore; Doctor Felter; Mister Vakas; Miss Essex.)
• Ordinance 25-06 (VAC 24-00001): The council approved ordinance 25-06 to vacate a public utility easement at 12675 South Shandy Bend Road, to accommodate construction of a new home. Planning Commission recommended approval 7-0. Vote: 6-0.
• Approval of 2025 Olathe Outdoor Sculpture Series: The council approved the city’s 2025 outdoor sculpture series (lease-based rotating public art) as presented. Vote: 6-0.
