Kamas planning commission forwards short-term rental ordinance to council after months of debate

The Kamas Planning Commission voted unanimously to forward short-term rental ordinance 15.39 to the City Council with a positive recommendation, after extended discussion about enforcement tools, evidence standards and the potential effects on local housing supply.

Commissioners and staff spent more than an hour weighing whether to allow a limited number of short-term rentals, create a licensing scheme, or adopt a ban.
