Boise City Council approved SUV 20-4-405, a preliminary plat for a residential subdivision of 0.99 acres at 3514 North Colchester Drive that will create eight buildable lots and one common lot in an R-1C (Residential Traditional) zone. Planning staff told the council the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval on consent.
Conditions of approval require a 12-foot public pathway across the southern portion of the site with a public-access easement at final plat, a 20-foot frontage road separated with landscaping along Callister Drive to reduce direct access onto the collector, and two shared 20-foot driveways to serve eastern lots adjacent to Barberry Drive. Staff and the applicant said Solid Waste and Fire Department access were considered in the frontage/driveway layout. The applicant confirmed agreement with the staff recommendations.
Council discussion praised the project for adding sidewalks, a multiuse pathway, and improving neighborhood connectivity. Council approved the preliminary plat by voice vote.
