During the public-input portion of the meeting Diane Bradshaw of 1588 Abigail Lane, Eagle Mountain, introduced herself as a volunteer ambassador for The Ruth health center located on the doTERRA campus in Pleasant Grove. Bradshaw said The Ruth opened Jan. 4 and is a $55,000,000 facility.
Bradshaw told the council she and others have distributed more than 6,500 vouchers to date and that in November she distributed roughly 300–400 vouchers to students and staff across Saratoga Springs schools. She said the vouchers may be used by teachers, students, drama participants and others and that a set of 50 vouchers had been reserved for a Westlake High School student night on April 4.
Responding to council suggestions, Bradshaw said she plans to staff a booth at Splash Days and other community events, provide marketing packages for city staff to reshare, and coordinate possible performer appearances at spring events. "We're just trying to get word out," she said. Bradshaw encouraged the council to direct residents to the voucher number printed in the bottom right corner to track local adoption rates and said that vouchers printed with Saratoga Springs identifiers will allow the organization to measure local usage.
No council action was taken; the remarks were recorded as public input.
