The board approved a consent agenda March 4 that included multiple contracts and procurement items for 2025 fair operations (cleaning, construction, electrical, parking, rodeo- and security-related contracts), a change order for the general services building addition, employee housing lease agreements, a sole-source agreement with Riverwind Foundation for outreach and business recruitment services, and an insurance-deductible change order for the recreation center. Commissioner MacKerr moved to place the staff items on the consent agenda; Commissioner Carlman seconded. The full consent agenda was later approved by vote.
Separately the board added item 19 to the agenda — consideration of 24-hour catering permits — and approved four 24-hour catering permits submitted by Jackson Hole Food & Wine and Westside Wine & Spirits for multiple March 7–8 events at the Four Seasons Ballroom and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort venues. The motion to approve the catering permits was moved by Commissioner MacKerr and seconded by Commissioner Carlman and passed unanimously.
Why it matters
The consent agenda contains routine operational contracts that enable the county fair, facility work and staff services. The allowance of 24-hour catering permits enables scheduled events that include extended-service periods at resort and ballroom venues.
Next steps
Procurement and contracting staff will execute agreements on the consent items as approved; event organizers will proceed under the approved 24-hour catering permits.
