Commissioners award $104,500 architect contract for old library remodel

The Teton County Board of County Commissioners approved March 4 a contract with Cornus Architecture LLC for $104,500 to lead reconstruction and remodeling work for the county’s old library building.
Sarah Mann, Director of General Services, said two firms responded to the RFQ and staff ranked proposals; Cornus (Rachel Ravitz) was recommended in part because of past history with the building. Commissioner Probst asked if the renovation design would be compatible with a potential preservation easement; Mann said the county has hired Wimber as owner's representatives and that Cornus and Wimber would ensure compatibility.
Commissioner Probst moved to approve the contract; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
