The Richmond Planning Commission on Feb. 26 voted to continue three land‑use agenda items and approved its consent agenda.
Commissioners unanimously voted to continue an ordinance (2025‑O14) seeking special use approval for the property listed on the agenda as 3618 Hawthorne Avenue — a proposal described by staff as asking permission for a four‑unit multifamily dwelling and six single‑family attached dwellings — to the commission’s March 18 meeting. The commission also continued a related subdivision‑exception item for the same address to March 18.
A separate ordinance (2025‑O25) listed on the agenda for properties described as 5009 Rear Snead Road, 505015 Snead Road, and 5015 Rear Snead Road — the application requests approval for up to 180 multifamily dwelling units and a clubhouse — was continued at the applicant’s request to the April 1 Planning Commission meeting.
The commission adopted a three‑item consent agenda by roll call. The consent items were: UDC‑2025‑6, a review of a bus‑loop extension at Reed Elementary School; UDC‑2025‑7, a conceptual review of plans for Woodville Elementary School; and Location Review 2025‑1, a proposed temporary construction easement and a permanent public‑access easement on the Country Club of Virginia property at 6000 St. Andrews Lane. Staff recommended, and the commission approved, sending the two UDC items to the Urban Design Committee for further review and returning them to the Planning Commission after that review.
No members voted against any of the continuances or the consent agenda in the roll calls recorded on the audio transcript; the chair declared each motion passed.
