Village Review Board elects Kemp chair, Greenwood vice chair

The City of Bellbrook Village Review Board elected Mr. Kemp chair and Mrs. Greenwood vice chair at its Feb. 4, 2025, meeting.

Board members opened nominations for chair and vice chair, then used paper ballots because there were multiple nominees. After ballots were cast and read into the record, the board certified the results: Mr. Kemp won the chair election 4-1 and Mrs. Greenwood was elected vice chair in a unanimous vote of the ballots counted.

The board followed a process in which nominations were opened, each nomination required a second to be valid, and paper ballots were distributed and tallied because more than one candidate had been nominated for each office. The tally read into the record showed four votes for Kemp and one vote for Owens for chair. The vice chair tally read into the record listed five votes for Greenwood and no write-ins.

The nominations and seconding occurred during the new-business portion of the meeting; the ballots were cast and the results were read later in the same session and then certified by the staff member administering the ballots.

No additional motions or conditions attached to the elections were recorded in the meeting transcript. The board adjourned after brief additional discussion on other items.
