The Stevens County Board accepted delegation of registration authority submitted by five local government units and recorded the delegations in the county file.
Becky presented the item and asked the board to accept delegations from Darnan, the City of Donnelly, Renville, Pepperton and Swan Lake. "In addition to the ones in the packet here, I did field quite a few calls from other people that are looking at they're gonna probably delegate registration," Becky said, noting the state rollout had been delayed and some townships planned to act at upcoming annual meetings.
The board approved a motion to accept the delegations that had been filed and authorized staff to update county records accordingly. Becky said she would continue outreach to remaining units and could attend township meetings to answer questions as they decide whether to delegate.
Ending: Staff will record the accepted delegations and continue outreach to other local units still considering delegation.
