Separately, the board acknowledged a petition for improvement of DD4 Subdistrict 9, Laterals 1 and 11, and voted unanimously to appoint Bolton & Menk to prepare an engineering report. Staff noted Bolton & Menk already has data on adjacent improvements and may be able to provide a faster turnaround. The engineer appointment starts the formal petition process — survey, preliminary design and a public‑hearing timeline — subject to remonstrance rules for drainage projects.
