The board confirmed tasks for National Library Week in April: the library will apply for a street-banner permit, the library staff will draft a press release using American Library Association materials, and a proclamation will be presented to the council at its April meeting. The board discussed staffing volunteers for events and planned to sign up via email and an outreach spreadsheet. The board also discussed Earth Day outreach on April 26 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.), with the seed library sharing a booth and volunteers making seed balls and talking to attendees. Members agreed to bring brochures rather than circulating books at chaotic outdoor events.
Board members reported on fundraising and partner activity. The Friends of the Library met Feb. 19 and set a block grant to the library of $45,000 for the year; Gwen and other staff attended that Friends meeting.
