Zoning Commission approves consent agenda items with applicant amendments

The City of San Antonio Zoning Commission approved an omnibus motion to pass the consent agenda, including items 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, with amendments and confirmations by applicants.

The motion, made by Commissioner Taylor Watson and seconded by Commissioner Marco Barros, listed each item as read into the record and confirmed requested amendments with applicants present. Chair John Bustamante then called the roll; all commissioners present voted in favor and the chair announced the items "passed with amendments." The commission recorded the approvals and the cases will proceed to city council for final action.

The consent items included a mix of rezoning requests and specific-use amendments. Staff read the cases into the record and applicants confirmed amendments on several items before the omnibus vote. For example, the applicant for item 10 confirmed reducing the acreage to 1.148 acres; the applicant for item 11 confirmed reducing acreage to 3.03 acres. Notices sent, neighborhood responses, and the applicant changes were entered into the record as part of staff presentation.

Because the commission handled these items together, each case will carry forward the record of staff recommendations, applicant amendments confirmed at the hearing, and the commission's approval. The commission noted that approved items will move to city council for final decision.

Items approved on the omnibus consent vote will be scheduled on city council dockets with the commission's recorded recommendations and any applicant-confirmed amendments.

Votes and next steps were announced immediately after the roll call; applicants present were released and told their cases proceed to city council.
