The Minnesota House Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration approved minutes from Feb. 27 and adopted a calendar designating Thursday, March 6, 2025, for consideration of four House files, and the committee put a 24-hour prefiling requirement for amendments into effect, members said.
Representative Cagle moved approval of the Feb. 27 minutes, saying, "I have, mister chair. I'll move the minutes from February 27." The committee approved the minutes by voice vote.
A member then moved "the adoption of the calendar for the day pursuant to rule 1.21 and 3.33," proposing that the committee calendar four bills for Thursday, March 6: House File 13 (Bliss), House File 124 (Berg), House File 129 (Repinski) and House File 286 (Perryman). The motion carried on a voice vote. A committee member noted after the vote, "Members, please note that a 24 hour pre filing period for amendments to these bills is now in place under rule 3.33."
The committee did not record roll-call tallies in the transcript; both actions were approved by voice vote. The transcript includes committee statements that several authors of the calendared bills were present.
The meeting ended shortly after adoption of the calendar and the prefiling announcement was made.
