Ellis County on March 4 introduced several new public safety employees to the commission and audience.
Jennifer Taylor of Ellis County Human Resources said multiple public safety employees started this week. Danita Schroeder, the Ellis County EMS director, introduced Chase Zimmerman, who "is a new EMT and he will be working full time with us." Ellis County Sheriff Scott Brown introduced Michael Hollis, who had been hired as of the previous day; Sheriff Brown said Hollis brings prior law enforcement experience and "he'll be a good add to our team."
Commissioners and meeting attendees welcomed the new hires. The meeting record did not show discussion of salaries, budget adjustments, or detailed personnel files during the introductions.
