DRC recommends approval of Amelia Marsh Point site engineering plan and plat, asks for updated FEMA map

The Nassau County Development Review Committee recommended approval of the Amelia Marsh Point site engineering plan (SP22-040) and plat (PL22-026) on March 4, 2025, contingent on updating FEMA flood-hazard mapping noted in a recent Letter of Map Revision.

Constance Lake of the Building Department recommended approval of both applications but asked that the applicant update flood-hazard boundaries per FEMA Letter of Map Revision 24041544P, effective Dec. 5, 2024, before final documentation or recording. "We would recommend approval ... but would like to note that the flood hazard boundaries have been modified since these submittals per FEMA Letter of Map Revision 24041544P that was effective December 5, 2024 and recommend that be updated prior to executing on my documentation, recording of plats or comments," Lake said.

Other committee members—planning, development services, health and fire department representatives—recorded no further comments, and the chair closed the item.
