Council approves $23,400 masonry contract, plus contingency, for Salinski Green Farmhouse stabilization

Pike told council the repair is important to stabilize flashing around the chimney ahead of a planned roof project, and that roof bids will be returned to council in early April. Pike said the invoice/award will come from the city's general government contingency fund.
Councilmembers noted the item had been on the historical commission's priority list for some time and welcomed the award; council also asked staff to consolidate outstanding historical-commission funding requests and bring a plan for next fiscal year for additional work (deck, spindles, painting, windows). The council moved, and unanimously approved, awarding the contract to Cyrus Masonry with an additional 10% contingency.
