Hansen said personalized letters explaining the change will be distributed to staff and that new pay amounts and retroactive payments will be processed for the March 27 paycheck. He thanked negotiating representatives from the WBEA (West Bend Education Association), board liaisons and central office staff for helping expedite the process.
In her superintendent's report, Regenta Wimmer highlighted two community and district items: nominations due March 21 for the Volunteer Center of Washington County's Champions of Change awards and the Ralphs Education Foundation Awards and Support Employee of the Year awards. Wimmer also reported unofficial results from the district's Charity Week, saying student council and participating students and sponsors raised a record $81,000 to benefit multiple local charities; she credited Mr. Skip Clark and student leaders for organizing the effort.
