The Wagner City Council on March 3 approved a bundle of routine but consequential items: progress invoices for engineering services, payment applications to contractors, a contract award for park improvements and a change order for street rehabilitation.
Notable approvals included: - A $5,000 progress invoice (WAG204-81) to Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC for work on the water treatment plant residuals project (approved by roll call). - A $107,600 invoice (WAG23-02-01) to Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC for engineering services on the ARPA wastewater treatment plant headworks project (approved by roll call). - A $2,325 progress invoice (WAG203-63) for the downtown storm sewer replacement (Casper Street) project (approved by roll call). - A $4,000 progress invoice (WAG24-11) for Lincoln Park and Dunbar Park pavilions (approved by roll call). - Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $121,518.12 for WAG204-09 (2024 Street Rehabilitation) to add Jefferson Street overlay, storm sewer work on Casper/Church/Fort and paving at Elmwood Cemetery (approved by roll call). - Contractor pay application No. 2 to Glover & Associates for WAG24-9 (2024 Street Rehabilitation) in the amount of $68,122.63 (approved by roll call). - Acceptance of the low bid and authorization to enter contract with Eagle Eye Construction Inc. in the amount of $88,560 for Lincoln Park pickleball courts improvements (approved by roll call).
Staff said the larger change order adds patching and paving at several locations and funding will come from the city’s capital project allocations already under management. The engineering invoices were described as progress payments for previously authorized projects, including ARPA-funded work.
Personnel action: The council approved promoting Joe McDuffie to supervisor of water and wastewater distribution with a $3-per-hour increase (new rate $29.87/hour), effective Feb. 17, 2025.
All listed items were approved by roll call vote with members present voting yes; mover and seconder were not recorded on the audio for several motions.
