Commissioners approve advertising delinquent 2024 tax bills; appeals reported

Tax staff also presented non-action items including four Avalon tax appeals totaling $1,647.63 and ten motor-vehicle tax appeals totaling $918.66; the administrator said those items did not require action at this meeting and could be handled at the next meeting.
During the discussion a commissioner asked about the county’s collection rate; the tax administrator said the county’s collection rate was approximately 96% and that payment plans are available.
