Planning commission approves 30-day extension for Century Farms Phase 1 final plat and related item

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Anna approved a 30-day extension for two consent items—Century Farms Phase 1 final plat (item 7) and a separate related item (item 8)—after the items were pulled for brief discussion on Jan. 6.

Commissioner Volmer moved that the commission approve items 7 and 8; Commissioner Herman seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously on a roll call that recorded Commissioners Martin, Herman, Longmire, Volmer and Bergerson voting yes; an additional participant identified as Jessica also recorded a yes vote.

Staff described item 7 as a final plat for Century Farms Phase 1 located in the far western extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) off Chambersville Road and said the phase includes a single-family portion by Streetmaker Homes. Staff said item 7 involves a municipal utility district (MUD) and that the planning and zoning commission previously approved the preliminary plat and later reviewed a revised preliminary plat within the last six months. Item 8 was described in staff remarks as related to the same property, referenced as O and M Living and associated with an address on 1106.

Commissioners asked for clarification about the items' prior review and the timing: staff said the revised preliminary plat for all phases came through within the last six months. The extension request before the commission was for 30 days; commissioners approved the extension as requested.

Because the action was an extension request, the commission did not alter the plat approvals themselves but granted the additional 30 days requested by the applicants.
