State Department of Environmental Protection inspectors identified issues at the North Lawn Farms Dam and asked the borough to correct flagged items, public works staff told the council.
Staff said the public works crew completed the immediate physical repairs the same day and reported that back to the DEP. Staff also said they will work with partners to develop an emergency action plan in case of dam failure and will prepare a more detailed outflow inspection. Separately, the conservation district completed inspection of the Matterhorn project and approved a notice of termination for the borough’s NPDES (NPPS) permits related to that work.
Staff said they are finalizing the borough’s MS4 annual report, which the transcript states is due Sept. 30, and plan to address inspection-flagged items including developing a more robust public education program for the MS4 stormwater permit.
