Commission approves one-year extension for Deer Valley subdivision improvements

Owner representative Manuel Ball told the commission that roadways, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water lines are in place and that outstanding items remaining on the developer’s letter of credit primarily relate to rear-yard swales and final sodding where individual houses are not yet finished.
Why it matters: The extension keeps the recorded plat active while the developer completes final punch-list items. Planning staff explained the extension procedure is now more frequently used because of a large number of longstanding letters of credit on the books, some for projects that have been incomplete for many years.
