Tanner Wolf, Lakeville’s liquor operations director, presented a mid-year report to the council on July 20, saying year-to-date sales through June 30 totaled just over $10 million, a decline of about 4.5% compared with the same period in 2024.
"After five years of record sales, we are slightly down compared to 2024. Through June 30, we've done over $10,000,000 in sales, which is about 4.5% lower than 2024," Wolf said.
Wolf said the Emporium Room remained popular with 48 rentals and more than $24,000 in rental and bar service fees collected so far this year. E-commerce sales were reported at a little over $26,000 year to date, a 46% increase from 2024, and average sales per transaction rose to above $100. Wolf described marketing efforts, expanded delivery hours and new promotions, and said the store had been remodeled to a more open layout.
Community fundraising included nearly $29,000 in customer donations and about 300 pounds of food to benefit local food shelves during a March fundraiser, Wolf said. The department also sponsored upcoming fundraisers for retired K-9 replacement costs and the November yellow ribbon veterans program.
Councilmember Walter commended Wolf and his team for marketing efforts and for adopting a city logo on the store’s branding. No council action was required; this was an informational mid-year report.
